Sunday, March 6th: Nat Atkinson— Nat and his wife, Susie, have been married for 40 years and have 2 sons and 5 grand-children. They came to Hollies BC in 2012 and were baptized in Nandua Creek. Nat runs Foxy Lady Fishing Charters out of Wachapreague. He serves as a Deacon, a Teller, he’s on the Finance Team and is on the Cemetery Committee. He’s also a true “Fisher of Men”.
Sunday, March 13th: Rev. Jackie Allen—H.B. Jackie Allen is a native of North Carolina. He is a graduate of Mars Hill College in NC and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. Over his 46 years of ministry, he has served as Minister of Youth and Recreation, Minister of Education, Church Administrator, and Pastor. Since 2013, he has been doing pulpit supply preaching and serving as an interim pastor in churches.
Sunday, March 20th: Rev. Tad Ramey, US Army Chaplain— Tad is currently serving as a US Army Chaplain at Fort Story, VA. He surrendered to vocation ministry at 19 years old and has served many years in Student Ministry and as a Church Planting Pastor. In 2012, he joined the Army Reserves to serve our country as a Chaplain and served 7 ½ years in the reserves, 6 of those on active duty with Special Forces. In 2019, he moved to Regular Army. Although, currently serving in the Army, Tad is passionate about the local church and loves serving in the church as much as possible. He has been married to Kathy for 24 years and they have 3 sons (17, 15, and 9) and a married daughter (20).
Sunday, March 27th: Rev. Tom Thomasson – Tom Thomasson has been serving God’s Kingdom for close to 30 years. Having served as a Youth Pastor, Music Director, and an Executive Pastor. The last 7 years, Tom has partnered with The Bridge Network of Churches in helping churches with pulpit supply. Tom has been married to Teresa for 24 years and a daughter, Ripley.
Sunday, April 3rd: David MacPartland –David, along with his wife Paulette, joined Hollies Baptist Church in March of 2009. His work takes him far and wide on the Shore. People look forward to his friendly conversation and he’ll easily offer a prayer for them. He serves on our Sound and Video each week. We look forward to hearing the message that the Lord has laid on his heart.
Sunday, April 10th: Rev. Chris Hinton—Chris is a pastoral counselor who merges the principles found in God’s Word to help guide individuals in their everyday life. Chris has pastored churches in Florida, Virginia and Delaware with the Southern Baptist Convention.
Chris has been an ordained minister since 1992. He has a Master of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Education in Counseling Education from Wilmington University. He is licensed and certified by the Delaware Department of Education as an Education Counselor. Chris has extensive background in behavioral health and criminal justice.
When Chris is not counseling, he enjoys competitive strength sports and won Delaware’s Strongest Man Competition in 2014. He also is a musician who enjoys anything that is harmony. He lives with his two sons in Delaware and enjoys supporting their endeavors.
Sunday, April 17th: Bryan Breland—Bryan K Breland is a passionate and imperfect follower of Christ. He is married to his beautiful wife, Elizabeth, and has three boys, Isiah, Trenton and Troy. He is a graduate of Liberty University and Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He has pastored churches in North Carolina and Virginia. He is also an Adjunct Professor with Regent University. He and his wife have had the privilege of taking the Gospel to 5 continents with a desire to one day reach all 7. His greatest desire is to see the Church of Jesus Christ be all that He died to make it in order that the world would know Him and be known by Him.
Sunday, April 24th: Rev. Jim Rizer—Jim is a graduate of Liberty University with a BS in Church Ministries and Virginia Beach Theological Seminary with a MSB Masters in Biblical Studies. He has served as Children’s Pastor for London Bridge BC and Pastored 4 other churches in the Hampton Roads area. Jim and wife, Tammie, served as Awana Missionaries for Eastern VA and Eastern NC for 12 years assisting churches in beginning Awana Clubs and training leaders to reach children. Currently, Jim is on pastoral staff at Coastal Church, Yorktown, VA’s Chesapeake Campus. Jim and Tammie have been married 46 years and have 3 children and 13 grandchildren.
