Rev. Gouak was born and raised near Philadelphia PA. After graduating from High School he served in the Air Force for 4 years, spending time in Japan, Korea and Vietnam. He came home and married Mary Ann who had been his neighbor and friend since second grade.
After watching Mary Ann live her faith in Christ before him for a year and a half, he placed his faith in Christ. Feeling a call to serve the Lord he attended Moody Bible Institute, then transferred to Columbia Bible College and graduated from there. He entered pastoral ministry with the Christian & Missionary Alliance in 1980.
Rev. Gouak has served 4 churches in Pennsylvania over his 35 years of ministry. Retiring in September of 2015, they moved to Wachapreague, VA. He says, “While I know I’ll never lose my “come here” status, this feels so much like home I feel like I was born here!” They raised 4 children, and now have 15 grandchildren and say they certainly feel blessed of the Lord.
Retirement didn’t “stick” though, and they felt called, once again, to serve the Lord here in Keller. Pastor Dave has served as or Interrim Pastor for a full year now. He and Mary Ann have missed being near their growing family of grandchildren though. Recently they made the decision to sell their home and return to Pennsylvania. We Have Enjoyed Having Them….They will be sorely missed!
